The Athenaeum - Mayfair London
The Athenaeum is a small and very
attractive family-owned 5 star hotel located in Mayfair, London. It may be
a small hotel but it certainly has a big personality! This is a luxury
hotel unlike any other. Right from the start, it's different: it has an
astonishing Vertical Garden up the side of the hotel, which was designed
by botanist Patrick Blanc. On the inside, there is a massive choice of
rooms, along with luxury suites and even the convenience of townhouse
apartments. Each of them has either a stunning leafy view or an outlook
over Mayfair. The hotel is directly opposite the Royal Parks and
Buckingham Palace; it's a few short minutes' walk away from all the best
museums and galleries, the most chic shopping areas, and of course the
delights of Theatreland. The tube will take you easily to the City, Soho
and Canary Wharf, all just a few stops away. What makes this hotel so
special is that it has been family run since the 1990s, and a tribute to
its comfort and values is that actors Russell Crowe, Dustin Hoffman and
Renee Zellweger have all stayed there, as have Mick Jagger and Robbie
Williams!

Greengarden
House Apartments
Greengarden House
apartments are an inspiring, luxurious collection of one and two
bedroom serviced apartments
located in the best part of central London. The contemporary
apartments provide everything an independent traveller could wish for:
right in the heart of London's
West End, situated very
close to Bond Street,
Marble Arch and
Oxford Street, these
apartments provide an independent living space for both business and
pleasure. You're in the middle of the prime shopping area with specialist
boutiques, an area which also includes the consulates of many countries,
and so many historic monuments and attractions that you'll never be short
of something new and exciting to do. Mayfair and
Marylebone are
remarkable for their beautiful period architecture. In fact, the very
building where the apartments are located was designed by philanthropic
architect Octavia Hill in Victorian times, which means you can enjoy the stunning gothic
architecture that's her legacy, including the impressive arched doorways
at the entrance.

St Martins Lane Hotel,
Covent Garden, WC2
Morgan Hotels each come with
their own musical soundtrack, to mark how special they
are. St Martins Lane Hotel in trendy Covent Garden is
sibling to Mayfair's Sanderson Hotel, and like the
Sanderson, another amazing brain child courtesy of Philippe
Starck.
St Martins Lane Hotel is the
perfect embodiment of 21st century urban retreat, situated
in the very heart of the West End, with on its doorstep
Covent Garden and Leicester Square, and within walking
distance of landmarks like the National Gallery and the
Royal Opera House.
The interior is colourful and
ambient, almost entirely through the use of light. The
interior itself is modernist and minimalist, much of the
surfaces and furnishings are bare and white, but areas are
dressed and come to life through creative and in places
spectacular lighting. This surely culminates in the
inspiring gymnasium and downright breathtaking and jaw
dropping Light Bar.
This continues into guest
rooms and suites, where decor is minimalist and
predominantly white, but huge windows allow London into each
space, and bespoke interactive lighting installations allow
each guest to individually fill in the mood and 'feel' of
their accommodation. Meeting rooms are sleek and
understated, yet softened through use of natural woods and
again, ambient lighting, giving them a relaxed but inspiring
rather than 'corporate' feel.
Naturally, guests are served
with access to modern technology and connectivity throughout
the entire hotel, whether it is to serve business needs or
for leisurely diversion, and round-the-clock services of any
kind throughout their stay.
Food lovers will feel right
at home at the celebrated Asia de Cuba restaurant, fusing
Cuban and Asian cuisine into delicious sophistication.

Gate, SW7

for access to the park, Kensington and Knightsbridge shopping,
West End shopping, dining and entertainment, and nearby Royal
Albert Hall, Kensington Palace and museums (Natural History
Museum,
Science Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum).
Traditionally English on the
outside, upon entering, the Baglioni soon reveals its
Mediterranean connection through its contemporary but warm decor
throughout. The interior of communal areas is contemporary, but
with twists of Italian baroque. Guest rooms and suites are
spacious, draped in luxury fabrics of deep and warm
colours, many with large windows, some with beautiful
views of Kensington Gardens. Plasma TVs and high speed internet
connection come as standard, room service and full concierge
services are available round the clock. Ensuite bathroom

à la carte Italian food.
A function room benefiting

private functions, while the stunning Boutique 60 provides a
great location suited to parties or casual events.
Understandably, owners and management are proud of their Italian
heritage, so in-room coffee-making facilities in some suites
offer an
espresso machine rather than the familiar kettle and sachets of
instant coffee, and guests asking for the hotel's chauffeur
service may find themselves being picked up in a Maserati.

The Hempel Hotel, Bayswater,
W2
The Hempel Hotel takes its
name from its designer Anouska Hempel. This luxury five-star
designer boutique hotel is located in a quiet Bayswater street,
north of Hyde Park. Nearby London hot spots include Hyde Park,
Kensington Gardens, Kensington Palace, and Notting Hill
Gate. Near Bayswater, Queensway and Paddington tube stations,
providing connections to the West End and throughout London, and
Paddington rail station, providing a fast link to Heathrow
airport, this is a serene haven away from Central London's
busy streets.
On the exterior, the Hempel
does not appear different from its neighbours, but inside the
hotel is minimalist in design, as are its rooms, suites and
apartments. Each type of accommodation is individually designed. Luxury
fittings, facilities, and services are naturally available; these include a
hairdryer, mini-bar, safe, satellite TV, CD/DVD player, WiFi,
room service, child care, bathroom, robe, slippers, candles,
toiletries, in-room massages, use of local health
club, limousine hire, and concierge services.
Different accommodation styles are
distinguished through size, space, and facilities. Suites provide extra seating space compared to rooms, and
apartments incorporate separate living and sleeping rooms,
separate private and guest bathrooms, CCTV, and kitchenette.
The Hempel is locally renowned
for its oriental restaurant, I-Thai, and the trendy H-Bar is a
popular London nightspot. I-Thai actually extends into Jade
restaurant, which is served by the same kitchen and staff but
provides a cuisine lead by seafood. No. 35 functions during the
day as a comfy coffee lounge and piano bar at night.
