a historic and luxurious five-star hotel in
London's Mayfair district of the West End. The
Underground stations of Oxford Circus, Bond Street

consoles, high speed internet access, personal
safes, soundproofing, air-conditioning and modern
ensuite bathrooms. Those wanting
even more luxury than the standard guest rooms have
to offer, are recommended to consider the Executive

of the suites with additional lounge
areas. The exclusive Infinity Suite offers a
large lounge, dining area, two spacious bedrooms,

function rooms can cater for any business or private
function from 6 to 400 guests, while the Business
Centre can fulfil all business
support during guests' stay.
The Langham houses
one of London's most prestigious bars, Artesian, and
one of London's top restaurants, the Landau. Both embody glamour and opulence. Artesian offers great
choice of wines, rums, whiskeys and cocktails, with

Landau offers à la carte breakfast, lunch, afternoon
tea and dinner to the highest standard.

Miller's Residence,
Notting Hill, W2
Miller's Residence is a
small, slightly bohemian, but luxurious and very
romantic 18th century style salon hotel in fashionable
Notting Hill, close to trendy Portobello Road, Hyde Park
and Kensington Gardens.
Notting Hill Gate and
Bayswater Underground stations are within walking
distance. Further public transport links across London
and to Heathrow Airport are provided via nearby
Paddington rail and Underground station.
The communal drawing room
of this quirky salon hotel is covered in rugs, furnished
with comfy sofas around a fireplace and antiques, and
everywhere you look are books, pictures, candles and
other little decorations.
Romantic clutter, put
together so perfectly by owner and antiques specialist
Martin Miller (author of "Miller's Antiques Guide"),
that this hotel over the years has drawn in many
artists, photographers, fashionistas, and, naturally,
hopeless romantics.
Narrow staircases lead to
8 guest rooms and salons, none of them numbered, instead
each of them named after an English poet. All rooms have
ensuite bathrooms.
There is no room service,
and Miller's only offers bed & breakfast (and
complimentary evening drinks in the drawing room), but
there are plenty of restaurants and pubs in the
vicinity.
The hotel does provide
services like theatre bookings, dinner reservations,
laundry services, radio, TV and broadband internet.
Service is personal and
informal, making Miller's a true home away from home.

The Sanderson Hotel,
Mayfair, W1
Morgan Hotels each come with
their own musical soundtrack, to mark how special they
are. The Sanderson Hotel in London's Mayfair presents itself
as a "lavish urban spa with modern sex appeal". Among the
historic buildings with classic interiors in its area, on
the Mayfair/Soho borders, this building with its
modernist-sleek, functional-yet-stylish, in places almost
surreal and sterile Philippe Starck interior, appears almost
'out of place' in its surroundings, yet paradoxically that
might just make this extraordinary hotel the jewel in
London's cosmopolitan crown, located just off Oxford Street,
at equal distance from Oxford Circus, Goodge Street and
Tottenham Court Underground stations, not far from the very
many West End theatres, clubs, bars, restaurants and shops
and the British Museum.
The Sanderson's interior is
entirely open-plan, its surfaces are light and shiny,
different areas are only separated by translucent curtains
or glass. The walls are bare and any paintings are hung on
the ceilings instead, while each item of furniture seems a
piece of art. This cool design follows through in all areas,
rooms and suites of the hotel, meaning the ensuite bathrooms
inside the guest rooms, suites and apartments are
transparent glass boxes. Still, the paintings on the
ceilings, the 'swan' shaped chairs, the 'sleigh' shaped
beds, and the balconies with their leafy plants give a
breath of calm and romance. The meeting rooms are
functionally businesslike without distractions. The
Courtyard Garden and Billiard Room are oases of stunning
beauty.
Restaurant Suka serves modern
world cuisine, inspired by Asia, which makes for a
positively eclectic menu. The Long Bar and the Purple Bar
are exactly what their names tell you they are, serving
cocktails, Champagne, and a choice of Martinis. The Agua Spa
provides an all-white centre of delightful relaxing
treatments.

St Martins Lane Hotel,
Covent Garden, WC2
Morgan Hotels each come with
their own musical soundtrack, to mark how special they
are.St Martins Lane Hotel in trendy Covent Garden is
sibling to Mayfair's Sanderson Hotel, and like the
Sanderson, another amazing brain child courtesy of Philippe
Starck.
St Martins Lane Hotel is the
perfect embodiment of 21st century urban retreat, situated
in the very heart of the West End, with on its doorstep
Covent Garden and Leicester Square, and within walking
distance of landmarks like the National Gallery and the
Royal Opera House.
The interior is colourful and
ambient, almost entirely through the use of light. The
interior itself is modernist and minimalist, much of the
surfaces and furnishings are bare and white, but areas are
dressed and come to life through creative and in places
spectacular lighting. This surely culminates in the
inspiring gymnasium and downright breathtaking and jaw
dropping Light Bar.
This continues into guest
rooms and suites, where decor is minimalist and
predominantly white, but huge windows allow London into each
space, and bespoke interactive lighting installations allow
each guest to individually fill in the mood and 'feel' of
their accommodation. Meeting rooms are sleek and
understated, yet softened through use of natural woods and
again, ambient lighting, giving them a relaxed but inspiring
rather than 'corporate' feel.
Naturally, guests are served
with access to modern technology and connectivity throughout
the entire hotel, whether it is to serve business needs or
for leisurely diversion, and round-the-clock services of any
kind throughout their stay.
Food lovers will feel right
at home at the celebrated Asia de Cuba restaurant, fusing
Cuban and Asian cuisine into delicious sophistication.
