The Southwark Rose (luxury)A hidden gem, no doubt about it, because
you don't find hotels as stylish as this at the price very often! It's the
perfect antidote to the stylish opulence of the West End, yet still very
convenient for all the tourist attractions you might wish to visit. Of
course, nowhere in London is far from anywhere else, with the superb
underground railway (the "tube") system, but this puts you within easy
access of the major attractions of the South Bank, and those of the North
Bank are only a short stroll across London Bridge or Waterloo Bridge. In
the hotel's own words, they feature sleek, contemporary design, but there
are no frills, lavish restaurants or ultra-trendy bars. Instead you will
find excellent design, stylish décor and very affordable prices.
The hotel is a mere five-minute walk from London Bridge station on the
South Bank, convenient for the Tate Modern and a little further away from
the London Eye, Tower Bridge and (across the river) the City. |
