The hotel is a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse with a fascinating history. At the beginning of the 19th century it was a ‘school for young ladies’. Subsequently it has been a private house and a convent for the Dominican Sisters. In 1970 it was converted to its present use as a hotel. The 76 bedrooms are comfortably furnished with an elegant décor. All rooms have private bathrooms. Other amenities include TV, hairdryer, trouser press and tea/ coffee making facilities. Two specially designed rooms are available for guests with mobility difficulties.
